Summer Rerun Remedy

It’s summertime again and for those of us who follow certain TV shows it means one thing, reruns.  Luckily, we now live in a time where you can stream old television shows and movies through your TV.  For those of you who have Netflix, it may be hard to choose what to watch among the hundreds of movies and television shows available streaming,  In this article, I will give you some suggestions.

  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer/ Angel: For those of you who are sci-fi/ horror fans, it time to rewatch, or watch for the first time, the adventures of the vampire slayer and her former boyfriend who is a vampire with a soul.  BTVS has always been one of my favorite shows and in my opinion, well-written and ahead of its time.  As I have said before,  Buffy and Angel are, by far, better than the Twilight Saga because the character are more relatable.
  • Arrested Development: Even though this show only lasted three seasons, it is an engaging comedy.  The cast consists of great actors like Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Tony Hale, Michael Sera, and Will Arnett.  The story revolves around the Bluth family and their misfortunes with the family business.
  • Ally McBeal: This quirky comedy follows the lead character of the same name and her fellow lawyers of Cage & Fish Law Firm as they take on bizarre cases from a nurse being sued for having real breasts to a man suing Sting for ruining his marriage.
  • Melrose Place: Created as a spinoff to Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place is about the lives of the tenants of 4616 Melrose Place.  At first, the show suffered poor ratings until Heather Lockear was cast as the bitchy Amanda.  Melrose Place was known for the characters playing musical beds.  After you watch the entire run of the original Melrose Place, watch 2009 remake of the show.
