“Friends With Benefits” Review

Yesterday I saw “Friends With Benefits” and I have to say that I enjoyed it.  It wasn’t a great movie but it was very good.  My only problem with the movie is that the movie at times is predictable but the predictability does not take away from the enjoyment of the movie.  Justin Timberlake is impressive and his chemistry with Mila Kunis is very believable.  If you are looking for a movie that is different from the typical romantic comedies, this is the movie to see.  Also you get to see Justin Timberlake’s ass. 

The supporting cast of “Friends With Benefits” is one of the best casts as well.  When I first heard about Woody Harrelson playing a gay guy, I cringed but he comes off as believable as gay and provides some great comic relief in the film.  The other notable cast member is Jenna Elfman as Justin’s character’s sister.  While Jenna does not have a lot of screen time, her character serves the purpose of giving insight into Justin’s character.

The last thing I loved is the use of music in this movie.  I won’t spoil any of the movie but I will say that the songs “Closing Time” by Semisonic and “Jump” by Kris Kross play a major part in the film and the film’s pivotal scene.  Then there is this song:
