Glee returned this week with what is being heralded as the best episode yet. The episode appropriately titled “Yes/ No” gave us two proposals, another character who got married before this episode, and an interesting look into the inner thoughts of a well-loved character with the voice of Helen Mirren. Spoilers ahead after the jump. Continue reading →

For anyone who knows pop culture, knows about the hit TV show, Glee. This musical dramedy series is getting ready to go into its third season and shows no signs of slowing down. Just this weekend, Glee 3D The Concert Movie was released into theatres for a limited two-week engagement.
I saw this movie on Friday and I have to say it lived up to the hype. The thing that made Glee 3D unique was that instead of having the actors be themselves for the movie, the producers had them play the characters for the movie. Of course, this gave way to some interesting moments during the film.
Another thing that set Glee 3D apart from other concert films was the focus on three fans. The three each had stories on how Glee helped them overcome the adversities they dealt with in their lives. It’s these stories that make you realize that Glee has made an impact on society and pop culture. The producers of the show select a diverse group of songs each week that span a broad history of music. One of my favorite episodes of Glee is from this past season, “Rumors”. The title of this episode had a double meaning: the members of the Glee Club were dealing with rumors about them and also the title of the most famous Fleetwood Mac album. I have been a fan of Fleetwood Mac for a while now and when I found out that Glee was doing an episode devoted to the legendary band, I was thrilled. As expected, the episode was one of the best episodes of the season.
One of the best things about Glee is that it introduces the younger generation to a diverse and well-rounded array of music. One of the younger generation was featured in Glee 3D.
This kid is so cute and already very talented.
