Melrose Place Weekly Dish #2b- Ella (Katie Cassidy)

Here’s the biography of Katie Cassidy from TV.com:
Katie was born into a family who knows a thing or two about entertainment and glamour. She probably got her acting gene from her paternal grandparents who were both actors and her singing prowess from her dad David Cassidy. She grew up with her mom and stepdad in Calabasas, California.

Katie started off with acting in community theater productions and did some modeling with Abercrombie and Fitch. Her plan was to attend NYU’s Tisch School of Performing Arts, but several acting jobs came her way. She made her television debut in the year 2003 in the TV series The Division. From then on, she has appeared in numerous TV and film projects. In 2007, she was cast as a regular in CW’s action thriller Supernatural.

During her free time, Katie loves to travel and take road trips. She’s also into sports such as skiing, snowboarding, soccer, and football. She likes cooking, especially making desserts. When she’s not working, she likes to shop on Melrose with her sisters, Jenna and Jaime. She does not like to read much and likes to spend time on the beach.

Melrose Place Weekly Dish 1- Spell Melrose [updated 10/5/2009]

Starting today as a regular weekly feature, I am going to devote posts to the new Melrose Place. I have been reading all sorts of info on Melrose 2.0 and I can tell you that the first season is going to revolve around a murder in the first episode. Melrose Place Returns

Melrose Place Returns

I am always look forward to the fall television both for the shows returning from summer hiatus and the new shows. Aside from 90210, there have not many new shows I have been excited to watch since day one, but this fall a new Melrose Place premieres. Back when the original Melrose Place was on Fox, I was glued to the TV every time that it came on. The original Melrose Place was the ultimate guilty pleasure. Every week bed hoppings, back stabbings, and betrayals were the standard for Melrose Place. There were a lot of memorable moments from MP 1.0: Sydney and Jane fighting in the pool, Kimberly returning from the dead and more crazier than ever (she blew up the apartment complex), and Amanda’s friend, Eve showing up at Amanda and Peter’s “funeral” dressed in a cheerleader outfit. From the looks of this trailer, MP 2.0 will follow in those memorable moments right out of the gate. The best thing about MP 2.0 premiering this fall is that will be paired with 90210. Stay tuned for my review of MP 2.0 this fall.

Update:  I forgot to mention Ashlee Simpson-Wentz in my post.  After the whole SNL lip-sync snafu, I really didn’t care for her, but MP 2.0 looks like it will boost the future ex-Mrs. Pete Wentz’ acting career.
